It's officially Oktoberfest season, as evidenced by the banner graphic above and the listings below. In fact, well over a dozen area venues will be getting their oompah on in the days ahead, so check the schedule for details on celebrations taking place near you.

Also this week, the Texas Mead & Music Festival will be happening at Scarborough Village in Waxahachie on Saturday. The event will feature live music, local vendors, seasonal food offerings, and mead from more than 10 Texas meaderies.
