Highlights on this week's update of craft beer events in North Texas include a birthday bash at Armor Brewing Co. of Allen. Taking place on Saturday, the brewery's Armorfest Second Anniversary Celebration will feature live music, food specials, a petting zoo, photo booth, stein holding, specialty beers on tap and more.

Of course, seasonal celebrations continue once again with Oktoberfest, Laketoberfest, Oaktoberfest, Rocktoberfest and Snaketoberfest events on the calendar throughout the week. Check the listings below for details.

As for other items of interest, there's the Adult Pumpkin Carving Contest at The Bearded Monk in Denton on Thursday, Barrel-Aged Beer Day at Three Wide Brewing Co. of Fort Worth on Friday, and options like the TMNT Party at Martin House Brewing Co. of Fort Worth, BTX Brewfest at Mayor Vera Calvin Plaza in Burleson, and the Last Day of Business at Cedar Creek Brewery of Seven Points on Saturday.

Then, take note that the coming of October also marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Benefits at area breweries helping to bring attention to the cause include Brews for Boobs at Three Wide Brewing Co. on Saturday and Beer for Boobies at Railport Brewing Co. of Waxahachie on Sunday.
